Friction coefficient test on tiles (Technicals data)

Slip resistance is tested according to procedure ASTM C-1028-D1084.
The standard endorsed by the industry, as adopted by UL (Underwriters Laboratory) and ASTM (American Society of Testing and Materials), declares that a surface is safe if its coefficient of friction (COF) is higher than .60
Legal definition of negligence:
Non intentional fault, defined by the failure to do something which should have been done, subsequently causing harm or injury.

The standard endorsed by the industry as adopted by U.L. (Underwriter Laboratory) and A.S.T.M. (American Society of Testing and Materials) declares that it is safe to walk on a surface if the coefficient of friction is higher than .60 .
The non-slip static values for the coefficient of friction are established as followed :
.60 and more - SAFE
.50 à .59 - RELATIVELY SAFE
.40 à .49 - DANGEROUS
.35 à .39 - VERY DANGEROUS
.00 à .34 - UNUSUALLY DANGEROUS
